UK WeatherThe the UK has a temperate climate moderated by the Gulf stream. The country is known for its changeable weather, and copious rainfall all year round. Eastern parts of the country, which are more sheltered from the Atlantic are generally somewhat drier than other regions. Winters are generally mild, and temperatures rarely fall below -10°C (-14°F). Snow sometimes falls in the winter or early spring, but rarely settles in any great depth, except in areas of high ground. Summers are typically warm rather than hot, and although there can be occasional hot days, temperatures are usually below 32°C (°F), and summers are often wet and rainy. |
